We have alot that goes on in the last week of the month. Asher's birthday is on the 26th and then his twin cousins were born two days after him. Then there is the holiday. Needless to say, today I feel spent! We had so much fun though! Asher's birthday we celebrated at Pirate Island in Orem. If you have never been I suggest you go! So much better than Chuckie Cheese! The place has a great decor and I wish I would of gotten more pics of the place but once people started showing up I didnt have much time to do it. I wished I had gotten more pics than I did! Asher had a great time and had so much fun playing with his cousins. I just can't get over the fact that he is 5. The exact day he turned it he grew up so much! He has started answering me with a correct instead of yeah and has so much more to say than he ever has! I miss my baby but I love seeing what a big boy he is turning into! Happy Birthday Ash! I love you so much!

A couple days after we went to Grandma Marlas to do pumpkin carving, which is a tradition every year. We celebrated the twins birthday then also so it was a busy night!

Then there was finally Halloween. It is like any holiday for us we can't just chill at one spot. We have a least 3 grandparents that we have to visit. We started at papa Steves and Grandma Corliss's for trunk or treat at their ward and dinner there. Then we headed to American Fork to visit Grandma Kris, and then PG to visit Grandma Marla and Grandpa Kim. There we let the kids hit a few houses before we had to head back home. Glad it wasn't as cold as it has been the past couple of days and I love seeing all the inventive costumes people come up with! Asher was a cop and was absoulutly adorable! I'm glad I can still have a small control on what he wears, otherwise he would probably be a Transformer for the rest of his life!

I decided that since we are having Asher's birthday party tomorrow that I better get up my pictures from Lagoon...from last month! We went with Ashers grandparents from Idaho as well as his half brother Chance, who he rarely sees, and his cousins Serenity and Harmony. They had such a great time and it was nice to catch up with them. I hope that we can enjoy days like this again soon.

Sooo.....I can't technically blame my two months of no blogs on my computer being broken, since it has only been broken for two weeks. But, I'm going to blame it being broken just a little. All the fun we have had recently has been in that time frame! So, when I can actually sit down and update I will. Just thought I would write a quick blog to let everyone know that we are still around and updates will come soon!

I can't believe that July is almost over. This year has gone by so fast! I can still feel the chills from winter and here it is around the bend again! Hope everyone is enjoying their summer! We had a good holdiay weekend. I took Friday off so was able to FINALLY have a 3 day weekend! Thursday night we went and ate dinner at one of the vendors in the park at Fiesta day...delish! Then we met up with Nick and Amera and their kids and braved the carnival! We had a good time the boys enjoyed themselves and were able to ride a few rides together. Asher was all in favor of riding the big rides. He said he wanted to ride the Zipper "and SCREAM"! I was able to get him on the Ferris Wheel since, unfortunatly, he is too short for the others.

The next day we got up early and went down to the park again and had breakfast for the Booster Club. After that we went to the other end of town for the parade. Asher was more interested in the karate and the slide next to us than the parade. The kids were able to karate chop a board but he went too fast so I wasn't able to show off his Karate skills!! Then we were able to stop back by the carnival for a couple more rides from the tickets the night before. So he rode the boats again! :)

After that we headed up to my stepsisters for a bbq. Here Asher really got to be brave and was able to swim in their pool! Now this kid has no fear and once that life jacket was on he was off! First thing he did was run to the diving board and jump off! It took a couple times for mom to calm down but he did great! A natural fish!

Then after that it was off to Libery Park! We go up there every year to people watch, visit, watch fireworks...did I mention people watch? There are some interesting people up there! The kids had a great time. Grandma Marla bought them all glowing swords and they played Uno and Farkle. It's just a nice way to visit with family and enjoy some killer fireworks! They are amazing up there! Anyway it was a great, tiring holiday and I loved it! The 24th is quite possibly my favorite holiday!

Asher had a birthday party at school the other day and said that Mackayla turned 4! I asked him how old he was and he said 5. I said no, not until October and he says to me "well I'm a little bit 5!" Yes handsome man, yes you are! Love him!!

Here are a few pics from our great holiday. We had a BBQ at Jeromy's brothers house and all the family was there! It is a good thing that his backyard is big cuz there is ALOT of us! We had a good time though and was nice catching up with people you don't get to see often. His house is down the road from the PG Junior High so we all walked down there at dusk and watched the fireworks! Really great show this year! Weather was nice and warm and it was a great day to celebrate with family! Hope everyones 4th was fantastic!!

This one I found when I was buying a product online. She can get promotional codes to use for online purchases! Saved me 15% percent from my order! She also has alot of other helpful resources to save money and does a TON of giveaways! If any of you are interested on saving money, these are the blogs to check out. And no, I am not getting anything out of blogging these two sites, I just feel really strong about saving money and want to help others find tools for it as well! So, the past couple of months I have been working on cutting coupons and making a food storage. I never thought I would say that grocery shopping is fun, but I have really been enjoying it! I'm not as good (yet) as some women I know are but to see the savings and see my food storage grow is amazing! Take for instance, Sat. night I went to Albertson's, (wild child aren't I!!) and did my shopping. I had spent a good part of the night before planning what I was going to shop for. I walked out spending $75.26!! Not to bad for someone who used to think she was doing well walking out spending $300! Now alot of the stuff that I shopped for wasn't things I would necessarily use this week, but that is what is nice is now I have storage growing and can try and plan as much of my meals as I can with what I have stored! My savings that night were $196.25!! How great is that! Plus, I got a free Redbox rental code on my reciept, and had another $1.00 off coupon to use next time I shop. I am also now at $0.90 off for gas the next time I fill up there! There was some things that were gone already when I got there, but I just went the next day and price matched at Walmart! For instance I was able to price match the Edge Shaving Gel for men for $1.50. Was regularly like 2.32 at Walmart, then I had a $0.75 coupon, Was able to pick up 3 cans for $0.75 a piece! There are so many amazing deals to find there if you can be patient and wait for the items to go on sale! I know I have felt a huge difference! Being the big dork that I am, I took pictures of my shopping trip, how weird am I staging food at midnight for a pic?? LOL! Oh well I wanted others to see my small, but big, success!!

Sooo, I have been noticing lately that alot of people have been taking their blogs private and couldn't understand why. Lately, there have been some personal reasons why I have decided that it is time for me to do the same. My blog is pretty random, I don't update it very often, but I would love for everyone who has been reading, as well as new people, to continue to read. Moms out there....I need help! Asher is 4 years old now and we still are having major accidents! Not only does he wet the bed every night, which I can't get to upset about I realize alot of kids do, but he will just have random accidents just because! #2 not excluded! I ask him why and now is response is because I'm being mean. I don't want him to think that it is being mean when he does this but I don't know how to get through to him. I know they say to not get mad when they do but it is so stinking hard not to. He will just do it in random places, at random times. Now I am being told from his teacher that on occasions if he gets mad at her he does it just to upset her more!He wont even where the overnight pullups because they are so much like diapers and he freaks out when I talk to him about wearing diapers again so I know he doesn't want that. I NEED HELP!!! Is there any advice up there before I lose it???

Well this year I decided to attempt the unthinkable and make cookies...from scratch! I was in the kitchen today for about 4 hours. Who wants to spend that much time in there!?! It was alot of work but had some fun times also. Asher kept wanting to help and even though I want him to be independent and feel included and helpful there were some moments where he wasn't any help at all! I had flour spread around when I was rolling out the dough and he came up and stuck his finger in the flour and said "Ummm sugar!" I said no it is flour and he stuck it in his mouth anyway. I'm not sure if he just wanted to show me that he would like it even when I told him he wouldn't or if he actually did but he said "yummy!" and made a face like it was to die for! Funny kid. Well...this was yesterday! Yes, we love halloween everyday at our house. Well at least dress-up. We had borrowed costumes this year from my friend Jeni and I can't seem to get them back to her! Everytime I get them all together and rewashed, he finds them and we have to dress up all over again! Thought it would be fun to share with you all the fun that this child brings me. What a hoot...and a ham if you can't tell!

What the.....?

So I haven't really had anything to post for awhile cuz after the holidays our life came to a screeching halt! There is nothing going on! It is very nice but it's like kinda boring around here now! Yesterday was Jeromy's birthday so we are going to be going to dinner tonight but other than that .... Oh, and I am soooo excited to have found out Nick my brother and his wife Amera are going to be having a girl! YAH! I hope Asher and Mccoy will be good protectors over our little girl. Thats the exciting news in my life right now..thanks you guys for keeping life interesting! The only other news I guess is yesterday one of our trucks from work was involved in a crazy accident! Luckily our driver walked away uninjured, the front of his truck slammed into another semi and the gas trailer slammed into his sleeper! Thank you angels! Here are some pics of the wreak since that is really all that has gone on! LOL

Here we are today tubing. The golf course was packed but we found a smaller hill that no one had used. Fun because there was no one around us. Not fun because the snow was knee high and hadn't been walked on! Oh well kids had fun, thought we would share in our cold adventure!

Well of course here I am going to blog about the holiday that is now a week past! Oh well, the effort is made. Our Christmas was excellent! Asher came in my room, oh about 5:30 and said he went potty. So I told him to come get back in bed with me. He said to me "But mom come look at all these presents!" Note to self-next year unplug the Christmas Tree, you may be able to get another hour of sleep that way! Anyway, the day was great, mom came over and we had breakfast casserole and her awesome rolled up pancakes. Unfortunatly Daniel was sick and Nick and Amera couldnt make it but it was a nice morning. Then we just hung out at home and played with new things till about 2 then went to Jeromy's mom and dads. Of course I forgot my camera! So not to many pictures of the most exciting holiday of the year. Oh well. Anyway, in a nutshell Christmas was beautiful and the kids had a blast and it was nice to spend time with family. Im very excited for what this new year will bring. Hopefully it will be a great year for everyone! Sorry so short, have had a busy crazy week but Im hoping by next week things will be calmer and I might be able to get back into blogging...that was a big maybe!

Christmas Parties 1 and 2

So I am a little behind on updating from our parties this weekend, but since we had one Friday, and Saturday, AND Sunday it has been a busy week for us. Not to mention just trying to get everything ready for the Big Day (Yah! Almost here!). But I wanted to make sure to share some of what our weekend was like just so I will be able to remember oh like next week! Friday was Jeromy's family party in PG and since we had huge storm #2 (or was it #3) come in that day I was a wreak from the get-go, but we treked out and made it like an hour later. The kids had fun and just played with the other kids. It is nice to have parties with them because there are still alot of younger kids for them to play with. Then we stayed the night at Jeromy's moms house, which was nice cos I did not want to try and do that drive home. We were up with Jeromy's parents til 4 in the morning playing cards! FUN! It was a good time and we shared alot of laughs. The next day was my dad's side of the families party which was in Payson. Luckily that storm had cleared to make room for another one so we were given a break that night! We had alot of fun there too. Asher and Coy would just run from one end of the church to the other and watch the older kids play b-ball. Then on the stage someone had brought a remote control dinosaur for the kids to play with. Asher was amazed with it, Mccoy...not so much. The dino was so cute so I decided to see how much it was online....130.00! Not that cute! Anyway there was a part where someone was taking family pictures if they wanted them done on the stage. Asher of course hardly moved from the stage so we were just letting him play. My uncles family was getting there pictures done when one of my aunts yelled for my dad. We looked over and there in the picture just a smiling was Asher!!! No one even noticed up there he had manuvered himself into the pose! I so wish the picture would have been taken cos it was the funniest thing! Anyway, it was really nice to spend time with my Grandma Dixie and Grandpa Clyde. They are all I have now and I wish I would make the time to see them more often. My grandma looks so fragile. Anyway the party was a good time and is nice to see everyone even though thats about the only time I do is the christmas party once a year. Sunday was Jeromy's family tradition to go to Sizzler for dinner then look at lights. We usually go to temple square but decided this year to stay closer to home so we just drove around Provo looking then went to the Festival of Lights in Spanish Fork. Beautiful like always. Anyway I thought this would be short and sweet and it so wasnt. Hope everyone has a safe and beautiful christmas! Love you all!

Today Jeromy and I went out to get some more christmas shopping done. We came home and went downstairs to start wrapping. Little did we know that this is what we would come back upstairs too! I really don't know how it is that I have lived here my entire life and still dread this first snow fall...and all that follow! I just get really tense and freak out about being out there, driving especially! Anyway, I just wanted to share with everyone that the snow is HERE! And is probably here to stay! :(

Christmas Tag

1. Do you like hot chocolate or egg nog?

Hot chocolate! Egg Nog is too rich

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just put them under the tree?

He wraps them and leaves the pile for each child...he doesnt want to have to tag whos is whos! :)

3. Colored or white lights on tree/house?

I prefer white, its more classic. Although this year I came home from work to the tree already lit with colored lights! Ah well what do ya do!

4. When do you put up your decorations?

I try the day after Thanksgiving. But as of this moment all that is up are those colored lights on the tree!

5. What is your favorite holiday dish?

Anything and everything! Although I do enjoy the breakfast casserole I make every Christmas morning. I think that it is the tradition of my mom, Daniel and Nick's family coming that I enjoy it so much. That is our time every year!

6. What is your favorite holiday memory from your childhood?

I cant think of one exact one! I never had a bad memory, they were all great!

7. Do you open a gift on Christmas eve?

I dont, but the kids do. That tradition we always did when I was younger we would always get pj's from Grandma Riding so now my son gets to open pj's from me!

8. How do you decorate your Christmas tree?

Um...that is a hard question. If it means what theme then I guess mine is kind of a country theme. Not music just alot of wooden ornaments so it kind of has a woodsy feel.

9. Snow! Love it or dread it?

Dread, dread, dread! I love the look of it, hate driving in it!

10. Do you remember your favorite gift?

My Grandma Moody gave me some porcelein cats one year that were over a hundred years old when she gave them to me! I still have them!

11. What is the most important thing about the holidays for you?

Being able to stop and enjoy family and friends

That is a hard one! They are all too good!

Breakfast on christmas morning with my family, my mom, Daniel, Nick and Amera

We watched McCoy again today and although I didnt get any pictures from today, this video reminded me of Coy when he would see my dog Sasha. I would have to hold him and everytime the dog came near he would put a death grip on me with his legs and arms and violently shake! Then once the dog left he would laugh like he was having the best time! LOL too funny. Anyway I thought this video was appropriate for the game I played with Coy for like an hour!

The trouble with cousins!

The trouble with cousins! Where do I begin?? Well the trouble with cousins at my house is when Asher gets to be around anyone else to blame things on...he will!! I watched McCoy last night so Nick could finally take Amera to see Twilight (LOVE IT!). All was well at first til they decided to fight over a toy guitar! Apparently, Coy his Asher with the guitar (there were no witnesses!). So I made Coy til Asher sorry. Well a couple of minutes later, Asher came to tattle again....on himself! He told me that he hit Coy back...um like 5 minutes later!! So Asher got into more trouble than I am sure he was hoping for and he had to tell Coy sorry! Things were better for awhile, well Coy kept having near death experienceses every where he went! That kid can fall over a pebble! Then when I thought I might have 10 seconds of freedom to hit the bathroom, I sent them downstairs with baggies of cereal and low and behold I get down there and Jeromy is scooping out cereal and post cards out of the fishtank! Needless to say I realized that apart the two are perfectly cute angels. Together they are perfectly cute monsters!

Well here is my second attempt for this blogging thing! Im just not as good at keeping up with things as I would like...but here we go! So whoever may see this may or may not know who I am so I will let ya in on it! My name is Courtnie Phillips (maiden Jarvis) and I am from Spanish Fork, Utah where I eventually graduated! (lol was just in the summer!) I live with my fiancee Jeromy Frampton in Springville and we have been together for 3 years this month! I have a wonderful, beautiful, nutty son named Asher who will be 4 on the 26th of October and he is the good....and bad! (just when tired) of my life. He says and does the most off the wall things sometimes it can make you laugh hysterically...or cry hysterically. Anyway that is my life in a nut shell with out boring you with the other 30 years that are involved as well. I hope to continue doing this if for anything to find people that were important in my life that I may have lost touch with!
